Contributing and Investing

The Housing Network is not-for-profit, building and managing long term community housing for low to moderate income families in the Hume Region of Victoria and beyond.

The Housing Network, in building new housing, is reliant upon the Victorian Government providing up to 75% of the capital funding for any one project. The remaining 25% is the leverage that The Housing Network must secure to complete each project.

To date The Housing Network has been able to realize its 25% contribution through:

The Housing Network is now carrying significant debt.

We have a critical undersupply of housing that is both available and affordable to households in the lowest 40% of the income quartile. Nationally this figure is in the order of 251,000 dwellings per annum. 

Regionally we have the highest rate of homelessness outside of Metropolitan Melbourne. We need to be able to increase the supply of housing urgently.
